"let your boat of life be light, packed with only
what you need - a homely home and simple pleasures, someone to love and someone to love you,
enough to eat and enough to wear
and a little more than enough to drink:
for thirst is a dangerous thing"

i stand alone
wondering what people
are all about
why they bury themselves
in so many layers
seldom baring their souls
to each other
or revealing
what truly exists under the thick
yet brittle covering
they hide behind
and when it cracks
and breaks
and falls
they hopefully know
that i will be here
for them
waiting
with my tail wagging

Thanks to Tess at The Mag

birth death its all the same

verification makes it really hard to comment. you'd get more comments if you turned it off. i had to do this several times to get it to work.

    1. thanks zongik - i have removed the verification. certain things not very user friendly and also apparently not that easy to become a "follower".

  8. True, dogs often look as though they're trying very hard to understand us.
