"let your boat of life be light, packed with only
what you need - a homely home and simple pleasures, someone to love and someone to love you,
enough to eat and enough to wear
and a little more than enough to drink:
for thirst is a dangerous thing"

mag 113

you too feel the pain
and cannot stop this grief
and sadness
from consuming you
flowers seem like the right thing to do
but i wish you would
open up
and cry and shout
like i do
let me know how you hurt
show me your heart
say it aloud
blame me
for letting you down
again
it is not only my blood that is lost
it is yours as well
you too can cry and shout
and together we will try
again
but for now
it is
you
i want
and love
not your silence
not your flowers

  5. This is for real and would be even more so with some punctuation.

    1. thanks so much. i really struggle with punctuation and find myself putting in commas and dashes and then removing them. could you do me a favour? my email address is jenny@coulters.co.za - won't you put in the punctuation where you think fit? hope this isn't a cheek. everyone is so friendly and encouraging on this site.
