There is something about this song that has me playing it over and over again. The lyrics are great and as much as I love Joshua Radin's voice, Patti Griffin's voice in this song is haunting. I hope you enjoy it too.
Maybe it is this cold weather, the fire, my book and the red wine which has had me thinking deep thoughts and writing some pretty weird short love stories. (No, I have not read any of the "Shades of Grey" books!! (yet)).
Although a sad song, something about the words and the voices makes me feel good inside. I feel the happy ending in this sad song, perhaps because they sing the whole song together and it was something they went through when they were younger and are now back together (and singing). I hope so. I am a romantic fool who believes that all great love stories should end.....and they live happily ever after and maybe I have you in tears because you think it is such a sad song and you don't agree with me at all.
